Every October, our commitment comes to life across all our offices. Our teams across the USA and Canada join together to participate in Wear It Pink Day. Wearing pink is our way of standing in solidarity with survivors, honoring those we have lost, and reminding our community about the importance of early detection and research.

Raising awareness starts with understanding the impact of the disease. Here are critical facts everyone should know:

🎗️🩷High Prevalence: Breast cancer is the most common cancer diagnosed among women globally. About 1 in 8 women in the United States will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of their lifetime.

🎗️🩷Early Detection Saves Lives: When breast cancer is detected early in the localized stage, the 5-year relative survival rate is 99%. Regular mammograms and self-exams remain the most effective tools for early detection.

🎗️🩷Men Are Affected Too: While less common, breast cancer is not exclusive to women. Men account for roughly 1% of all breast cancer diagnoses, making awareness important for everyone regardless of gender.

🎗️🩷Family History Isn't the Only Factor: Roughly 85% of breast cancers occur in women who have no family history of the disease. These cases occur due to genetic mutations that happen as a result of the aging process and life in general, rather than inherited mutations.
